 Comedian Lee Soo-ji is taking a firm stance against malicious online attacks.

Her agency, CP Entertainment, released an official statement on September 8 addressing the growing wave of online harassment directed at the personality.

"Personal attacks, false rumors, and defamatory posts targeting Lee Soo-ji have been continuously circulating across online communities and social media platforms," the agency stated.

Zero Tolerance for Defamation

Company representatives emphasized that the relentless harassment crosses a clear boundary, violating the artist's personal rights and reputation.

"This is a serious matter that directly harms our artist," the agency noted. "We are thoroughly reviewing all related evidence and taking decisive measures to handle the situation."

The agency confirmed it is pursuing both civil and criminal charges against those responsible for creating and spreading toxic content. They made it clear that there will be no leniency or financial settlements under any circumstances.

Background of the Recent Backlash

The online friction escalated following a video published in July on Lee's YouTube channel, Hot Issue-ji. The sketch intended to satirize the daily struggles faced by public civil servants.

Controversy arose during a scene where a public worker stops a citizen demanding a re-election. Critics argued the sequence mocked citizens who were calling for re-elections following logistical paper shortages during the June 3 local elections.

The production team quickly clarified that there was no underlying political intent behind the sketch and edited out the controversial scene.

Lee also issued a personal apology to address the fallout. "Regardless of my intention to bring laughter, I deeply regret causing discomfort and hurt to anyone," she wrote. "I will reflect on this experience and focus on delivering healthy, thoughtful humor moving forward."
