YG Entertainment has apologized to concertgoers who experienced obstructed views at the recent BLACKPINK concert.
On July 7th, YG Entertainment bowed its head in apology, stating, "We deeply apologize for the difficulty experienced by attendees in the N3 section due to restricted stage visibility at the BLACKPINK concert."
BLACKPINK held their 'DEADLINE' world tour at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Gyeonggi Province on July 5th and 6th. Both concert dates were completely sold out.
Some audience members criticized the blocked views, noting that they could not see the stage due to a large screen installed between their seats and the stage. The problematic section was N3, which was sold as B-class seating (132,000 won), not as a restricted-view section. One attendee expressed frustration, saying, "There was no view. It's infuriating that they sold these seats through regular ticketing."
BLACKPINK's agency explained, "Due to the console installed in front of that section, making it difficult to see the stage, we installed an extended LED screen for the audience to improve the environment. However, contrary to our intention, we caused inconvenience."
The agency promised follow-up measures: "We plan to take follow-up actions for those who reported discomfort in that section. We will provide guidance through the ticketing platform."
YG concluded by stating, "We will consider the viewing environment more carefully in the future and do our best to provide a better concert experience."
Meanwhile, after kicking off in Seoul, BLACKPINK will continue their world tour starting July 12th in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Toronto (Canada), Paris (France), Milan (Italy), Barcelona (Spain), and other cities.
