ENHYPEN's agency has announced strong legal action against stalking, malicious comments, and other illicit activities targeting the group. A residential intruder was immediately reported and arrested at the scene.
On June 20th, Belift Lab released an update on their legal response to stalking, personal information infringement, malicious defamation, spread of false information, and identity theft and forgery concerning ENHYPEN.
The agency noted that the members are suffering severe mental and physical distress. "Despite numerous requests to cease privacy-infringing activities, there has been no improvement. We will take strong measures," they explained.
Recent Stalking Incident and Other Violations
Belift Lab first addressed a recent stalking incident. "Recently, severe incidents occurred, including unauthorized intrusion into the dorm and illegal filming of ENHYPEN members," they revealed.
They added, "We reported this to the police on charges of violating the Residential Trespass Act and the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes, among others. The suspect was arrested at the scene and is currently under police investigation."
The agency also highlighted the serious issue of illegal acquisition and sale of personal information. "We have taken action, including reporting accounts that sell member information to Chinese authorities," they stated.
Belift Lab emphasized, "Illegally obtaining phone numbers and addresses to repeatedly contact members, and visiting private spaces, instills fear in the members. These are clear crimes."
No Leniency Policy and International Cooperation
The agency reiterated that there will be no leniency. "We will continue all civil and criminal legal actions through enhanced monitoring. We will respond with a zero-tolerance, no-settlement policy, regardless of nationality," they stressed.
Overseas fans are no exception. "The suspect's criminal record can serve as grounds for measures under immigration control laws, such as forced deportation and entry bans. We are responding resolutely," they added.
They are also cracking down on malicious commenters. "We are constantly monitoring. We have filed complaints against all those who posted excessive insults, ridicule, personal attacks, sexual harassment, and false information targeting the group," the agency announced.
Combating Identity Theft and Forgery
Furthermore, Belift Lab is taking strong action against identity theft crimes. "Cases of identity card forgery and identity theft for event participation are increasing. This is a fraudulent act that also harms other fans," they notified.
Belift Lab emphasized, "Both the individual lending their name and the individual borrowing the name will be excluded from future fan event applications and participation. Furthermore, they may face criminal penalties according to relevant laws."
The agency concluded, "Regardless of nationality, we will pursue legal responsibility to the fullest extent under a zero-tolerance policy, without any leniency or settlement," and stated, "We will continue to respond proactively."
Finally, they expressed gratitude for ENGENE's (the fandom's name) unwavering love and support, stating, "Our agency will continue to do its best to protect ENHYPEN's rights and interests."
