An Young-mi Shuts Down Rumors, Confirms Second Child Will Be Born in Korea

South Korean comedian and TV personality An Young-mi has officially cleared the air regarding rumors surrounding the birth of her second child.

Her agency, Media Lab Seesaw, confirmed on June 22 that An is scheduled to give birth to her second son at a hospital in South Korea this coming July.

The decision directly addresses ongoing public speculation, making it clear that she is staying home for this pregnancy.

Family Reunion in Seoul After Past Controversy

The rumor mill originally started back in 2023 during her first pregnancy. At the time, An traveled to the United States to give birth and spent a year overseas.

Because her husband works in the U.S., she chose to give birth there to be close to him and co-parent, but the move sparked intense internet rumors accusing her of seeking foreign citizenship for her child.

This time around, her husband is making the trip to Seoul instead. Her agency shared that he plans to fly into South Korea ahead of the due date to support his wife and welcome their new baby together.

Temporary Hiatus from the Airwaves

With her due date just a month away, An will temporarily step down from her hosting duties on the popular MBC FM4U radio show, 2 O'Clock Date with An Young-mi.

A lineup of special guest DJs will fill in for her during her maternity leave until she is ready to return to the microphone.

An married her husband, an office worker of the same age, in 2020. The couple welcomed their first son in 2023 and are now expecting their second child next month.
