Member Yeseul confidently shared their vision, stating, "We want our name, KIBITZ, to become the ultimate symbol of cool."

Leading hip-hop label AOMG has officially introduced its very first female group, KIBITZ, marking a clear departure from traditional idol groups.

The five-person collective aims to truly make an impact on the music scene, believing their genuine talent will speak louder than any marketing buzz.

During their debut media event on June 30, held at Seoul's Yes24 Wonderloch Hall, KIBITZ left a strong impression on attendees with their powerful live singing and dynamic choreography for their first EP, OXY_GEN.

Bridging Underground Subculture and Mainstream Pop

The title OXY_GEN blends the words "oxygen" and "generation," symbolizing the crew’s desire to breathe new life into the industry.

Rooted in underground and subculture movements, KIBITZ delivers an unpredictable sound across five hip-hop-heavy tracks.

The mini-album features the title track "OXY," alongside previously teased singles "Key Beats" and "Catch My Breath," plus "SUB_ZERO" and the sub-title track "SUCK IT UP."

Jiwon revealed that the project is deeply personal, built from the actual stories and struggles the members shared with their producers during their training days.

"It’s an album that captures our process rather than just a final result," Jiwon explained. "It holds all the pressure, hard work, and determination we felt while gearing up for this debut."

Backed by an All-Star AOMG Lineup

The members took a hands-on approach to their music, with Jiwon writing lyrics for "Key Beats," the entire crew co-writing "SUCK IT UP," and the team choreographing "SUB_ZERO."

Their legendary labelmates also lent major support, with producer Lee Baek working on "OXY" and Punchnello featuring on "SUB_ZERO."

"Jay Park produced 'Catch My Breath,' Mijoo gave us detailed performance feedback, and Kian84 even helped structure our showcase," Juwon added gratefully.

As the first girl crew under a premier hip-hop label, KIBITZ admits to feeling the pressure, but they view it as motivation.

"The seniors who came before us paved a great path, and we inherited that hip-hop mindset," Yeseul said. "Instead of worrying, the five of us are just focusing on our shared goals."

From Survival Show Contestants to an Iconic Collective

Fans will recognize Juwon, Yui, and Jiwon from the Mnet survival audition show I-LAND 2.

Reflecting on her journey, Yui shared, "Moving from Japan to Korea after the show was a massive challenge, but I'm incredibly happy to have found a crew I couldn't match anywhere else."

During the showcase, KIBITZ proved their rookie monster status by performing "OXY" live with minimal backing tracks, nailing complex hip-hop routines with intense charisma.

"A true girl crew is defined by attitude, not just a concept," Yuna emphasized when asked what sets them apart. "Our strength lies in our unpredictable individuality."

KIBITZ dropped OXY_GEN across all major music platforms on June 30 at 6 PM KST.
