Pop Group RESCENE Appointed Ambasssadors for the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival

Rookie girl group RESCENE is officially stepping up to represent Suwon City, bringing their fresh energy to one of South Korea's most celebrated heritage events.

Suwon City announced on September 5 that the group was officially appointed as public relations ambassadors—termed "PR Secret Royal Inspectors"—during a ceremony held at the Suwon Traditional Cultural Center late last month.

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun personally presented the members with traditional floral headpieces and appointment certificates. "Having RESCENE on board as our official ambassadors gives us incredible confidence," Mayor Lee said. "We hope their bright, approachable charm encourages more people to discover Suwon and visit us in person."

Promoting Suwon's Flagship Cultural Event

The members are set to promote the 63rd Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival, running from October 4 through October 11. The annual gathering stands as Suwon's signature celebration, honoring King Jeongjo and the rich history behind the iconic UNESCO-listed Suwon Hwaseong Fortress.

This campaign includes a personal touch titled "The Glorious Return of the Secret Inspector." The storyline centers on member Liv, who was born and raised in Suwon, making a triumphant return to her hometown to champion its local culture.

Connecting with Local Communities Nationwide

RESCENE has consistently built ties with local regions tied to their members' roots. The group previously took on public ambassador roles in Geoje, Gyeongju, and Goyang, leveraging their growing profile to promote tourism and regional heritage across South Korea.
