JYP Entertainment Announces Continued Hiatus for Amaru
K-pop boy group KickFlip will continue their activities as a six-member unit for the time being.
On September 1, JYP Entertainment published an official notice on the group's social media accounts titled "Notice Regarding KickFlip Member Amaru's Non-Participation in Activities." The member originally went on break in September of last year to focus on his personal well-being.
New Album Production and Group Future
The agency determined that returning to demanding schedules remains premature, excluding him from current album preparation. "Amaru will continue to receive treatment and rest to ensure his complete health recovery," the label stated.
Consequently, the remaining six members will move forward with all upcoming promotional schedules. "After deep discussions with Amaru and the group, we decided that subsequent activities, including this new album, will proceed with six members," the company explained.
"We sincerely apologize to fans who have been eagerly awaiting new activities," the agency added. "We ask for your understanding regarding this choice, which prioritizes our artist's recovery above all else."
KickFlip debuted in January of last year and last released their fourth mini-album, My First Kick, in April. In the K-pop industry, agencies frequently grant extended leave to prioritize long-term wellbeing over immediate promotional schedules.
