K-pop female artists have made a significant impact in the UK, the birthplace of pop music, by charting on major local lists.
According to the tally for the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100 (dated May 16th), Rosé charted with two solo tracks. Her collaboration song with pop star Bruno Mars, "APT.," secured the 26th position.
Despite being released seven months ago, the song continues to enjoy popularity. After peaking at number 2, it has remained in the upper ranks for 30 consecutive weeks, raising anticipation as to whether it could surpass Psy's "Gangnam Style" (55 weeks on chart).
Her new song also entered the Top 100 chart directly at number 100. Rosé had previously released "Messy," an original soundtrack (OST) for the film 'F1 The Movie,' on the 8th.
Beyond Rosé, Jennie also maintained a strong presence on the Top 100. Her title track from her first solo album, "like JENNIE," ranked at number 69, marking its 10th consecutive week on the chart.
CATSEYE's performance is also noteworthy. Their single "Gnarly," released on the 30th of last month, landed at number 75. Following its debut at number 60 the previous week, the track has remained on the chart for a second consecutive week.
