Veteran actor Choi Jung-woo has passed away at the age of 69.
Bless ENT announced on the 27th, "Choi Jung-woo passed away in the early hours of this morning." The exact cause of death has not yet been revealed, though it is known that he had been struggling with a chronic illness.
Choi Jung-woo debuted in 1975 with the play 'A Certain Actor's Life.' From 1980, he worked as a voice actor for Tongyang Broadcasting. He began actively appearing in films and dramas in the 2000s.
His notable works include the films 'Two Cops' and 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance,' as well as dramas like 'Deep Rooted Tree,' 'God's Quiz,' and 'My Daughter Seo-yeong.' He also portrayed the villain 'Park Joon-ki' in the JTBC drama 'Lady Ok's Home,' which concluded earlier this year.
The funeral home has been set up at Gimpo Woori Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral procession will depart at 10 AM on the 29th, and the burial site will be Suwon Yeonhwajang.
