Online bookstore YES24 has been experiencing system outages for two days, causing disruptions across the entertainment industry.
YES24 has been inaccessible since June 9th due to a system malfunction, and as of June 10th, service has not yet been restored. The company released an official statement today, providing an update on the situation.
YES24 stated, "The access error was caused by a ransomware attack. Recovery efforts are underway," adding, "There is no indication of personal information leakage. We will diligently cooperate with investigations by relevant authorities."
The company further apologized, "We sincerely apologize for the delay in providing detailed explanations due to the urgent recovery process. We are preparing specific compensation plans for all members. We are sorry for causing concern."
The outage has also impacted YES24 Ticket, the company's ticketing platform. As a result, ENHYPEN canceled the offline fan signing event scheduled to promote their 6th mini-album, 'DESIRE: UNLEASH.'
ENHYPEN's agency announced, "We had planned to hold applications for the fan signing event from June 7th at 11 PM to June 9th at 11:59 PM. However, due to YES24's system malfunction, the application period has been canceled."
ATEEZ has also postponed the additional ticket sales schedule for their 'IN YOUR FANTASY IN INCHEON' world tour. Similarly, actor Park Bo-gum has delayed the pre-sale authentication schedule for his 'BE WITH YOU' fan meeting tour in Seoul.
