"This album completes a page in our story."

QWER has returned with an album that encapsulates their narrative. The members personally penned the lyrics, telling the story of their growth together through a period of discord, now promising an unchanging future.

"This album completes the first page of QWER's narrative," Magenta introduced. "At the same time, it promises moments that will remain unchanged in the future."

On June 9th, QWER held a media showcase at Yes24 Wonderlock Hall for the release of their third mini-album, 'I'm Your Side, Even If the Whole World Is Discordant.' The new album marks both a new beginning and the conclusion of a chapter. Magenta emphasized, "We poured a lot of effort into this, wanting to make a truly beautiful start. We prepared with absolute determination."

Cho Dan stressed, "This album is one that the members prepared by cutting down on sleep. We wrote lyrics even while traveling, and we participated in recording and production simultaneously with our concerts."
Album Details and Musical Evolution

The album features a total of six tracks: the title track "Tear It Up," along with "Be Happy," "OVERDRIVE," "Search Term Is QWER," "D-Day," and "Yours Sincerely."

The songs are crafted to embody the energy of summer. Hina explained, "We captured the seasonal feeling of summer with the keyword 'rain.' With cool and energetic band sounds, they will be great to listen to in the summer."

The group also returned with upgraded skills. Magenta laughed, "My fingerprints wore down from practicing. There are times when my left thumb isn't recognized."

QWER performed their title track "Tear It Up" live at the showcase. The performance highlighted their lyrical yet explosive band sound, with members conveying emotions delicately through their clear voices.

The song is further enriched by resonant lyrics, delivering a message of hope to take another step forward even amidst sadness. All members participated in the songwriting, adding to its authenticity.

Magenta confessed, "These are lyrics everyone can empathize with. I also had difficult moments, so I deeply empathized. I cried about three times while writing the lyrics."
Overcoming Prejudice and Future Aspirations

Numerous prejudices ultimately shaped QWER into who they are today. Before their debut, the members faced various controversies, largely due to their backgrounds as streamers, differentiating them from typical idols.

Cho Dan revealed, "Some members were new to music, while others had dreams they were restarting. So, at first, I naturally wondered, 'Can we do well?'"

Despite this, they did not give up. After debuting with "Discord" in 2023, they achieved three consecutive hits with "Trouble," and "My Name Is Clear," sweeping various music charts and awards.

Cho Dan added, "We thankfully received a lot of love. Last year, we even attended award ceremonies. I think these growth processes are how we become one and form our identity."

Magenta explained, "At our debut, we championed the word 'discord.' But in this album, we've beautifully expressed the narrative of creating beautiful harmony within that discord."

With this album, they are directly confronting controversies. The members repeatedly emphasized 'effort' at the showcase. Siyeon predicted, "Through this album, you will see a QWER that has grown another step."

She continued, "It was a period where we focused on practicing as a band, which led to our growth. I want to give us 20,000 points, meaning we need to work even harder in the future."

They plan to pursue even bigger dreams. Magenta expressed, "They say dreams should be big. If we're ever called upon, I'd like to perform at Coachella."

Magenta also stated, "I want to reach No. 1 on all music charts. I hope our songs are added to many people's playlists. I hope we become known for 'music you can trust and listen to.'"

As for a desired moniker, they chose 'QPope.' Hina said, "A comment that read, 'This song really sounds like QWER,' was impressive. I hope our music can be called a genre, 'QPope,' in the future."

Finally, Hina vowed, "We will continue to move forward without stopping, to repay our fans' love. We will work hard until the day we can become the 'Nation's You're My Side Band.'"

Meanwhile, QWER released 'I'm Your Side, Even If the Whole World Is Discordant' on various music sites at 6 PM on June 9th.
