Longtime celebrity couple Jung Kyung-ho (43) and Choi Soo-young (36) have officially ended their relationship. Sources close to both actors confirmed on June 9, "It is true that the two have recently broken up." With this announcement, Jung and Choi are parting ways after 14 years together.
From College Peers to an Industry Power Couple
The two actors first met through their church and were both alumni of Chung-Ang University’s Department of Theater and Film. They began dating in 2012 and went public with their relationship in 2014, quickly becoming celebrated as one of the Korean entertainment industry's most enduring and beloved power couples.
As recently as 2024, Jung publicly expressed his deep affection for Choi during an appearance on PD Na Young-seok’s variety YouTube show, Channel Fullmoon. "We've been dating for 12 years," Jung noted at the time. "There isn't anything we don't do together."
Shifting Focus to Upcoming Projects
Following the split, both stars are focusing on their respective careers.
Jung Kyung-ho was recently confirmed as the lead for ENA’s upcoming drama, A Tempting Romance (literal title), where he will portray a news anchor. Meanwhile, Choi Soo-young is set to return to the theater next month, starring in a stage production of Shakespeare's classic comedy, The Merchant of Venice.
