An Yu-jin and Jang Won-young, members of the global K-pop group IVE, have officially signaled the start of their first sub-unit project.
On August 25, the group's official social media accounts released a short teaser video featuring the voices of both members. The clip displays a hand lifting a retro telephone receiver alongside the audio greeting "An-nyeong" (Hello).
While the video hides their physical appearances, it highlights an "An-nyeong" logo derived from "An-Nyeongz"—the popular portmanteau fans frequently use to address the duo.
Why This Matters: In the K-pop industry, sub-units allow specific members within a larger group to release specialized music and explore unique concepts without interrupting full-group activities.
Powerhouse Performers Combine Forces
Both performers have built extensive solo and group credentials prior to this unit launch:
An Yu-jin: Honored with the OST Popularity Award at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards, maintaining a strong profile as a premier host for major music broadcasts such as SBS's Gayo Daejeon.
Jang Won-young: Established her artistic range by contributing lyrics to flagship IVE tracks including "Attitude," "XOXZ," and "BANG BANG," while regularly hosting major year-end events like the Gayo Daechukje.
