Celebrities have participated in authenticating their votes for the 21st Presidential Election's main voting day.
Actress Park Bo-young posted a photo authenticating her vote on Instagram on the 3rd. Without a separate caption, she used a popular character's election authentication paper, which has recently become a trend, to verify her participation.
Kang Mal-geum uploaded a photo of the back of her hand with the voting stamp, adding, "I've waited for this day for a long time. I'll vote well in the future."
Byun Jung-soo encouraged voting, writing, "Wake up quickly and go vote. Don't give up because it's bothersome." She also attached an authentication photo taken with her family.
The couple Lee Ha-jung and Jung Joon-ho also visited a polling station. Lee Ha-jung shared a photo of herself and her husband waiting in line, urging, "Be sure to cast your precious vote."
Music industry stars also joined the authentication. ATEEZ's Hongjoong shared a photo with Seonghwa. Both were holding a paper with a voting stamp marked on it.
The center of the paper featured ATEEZ's logo. To prevent political color controversies, they also wore all-black outfits.
Musical actress Kim So-hyun posted a selfie with a polling station in the background, saying, "I love our country, South Korea. For the future of our child." She also proudly displayed a transparent authentication paper with a four-leaf clover.
Broadcasters also participated in quick succession. Jung Ga-eun announced her participation in voting with a selfie, making a V-sign in front of a polling station. Above the photo, she wrote, "A precious vote!"
Park Sung-kwang left two photos. In the first, he pondered, "Who should I choose~?" Approximately three hours later, he posted a photo from the polling station, stating, "May everyone be happy."
Kwak Jung-eun began her post by saying, "I don't know how long I've waited for today," then elaborated on the history of suffrage and the importance of voting in a lengthy message. She also included an authenticated photo of her hand.
Meanwhile, the main voting for the 21st Presidential Election is being held until 8 PM today.
