Powerhouse actress Shin Hye-sun is set to transform into an elite special affairs prosecutor hunting down deep-rooted systemic corruption.

SBS announced on June 1 that Shin Hye-sun has officially locked in her casting for the network's highly anticipated new drama series, Dash.

Dash is a high-stakes mystery suspense melodrama that follows a fiercely righteous prosecutor who plunges into a perilous crusade to uncover the truth after her husband is framed as a prime murder suspect.

Shin will portray Min Hwa-young, the Chief Prosecutor of the 1st Special Investigation Division at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. Driven by a tragic past, Hwa-young originally climbed the ranks of the judiciary to unravel the dark secrets surrounding her mother's untimely death.

However, on the precipice of launching her definitive investigation, her world is upended when her husband is accused of homicide. Despite the brutal reality and systemic sabotage from powerful forces around her, she refuses to back down in her pursuit of justice.

"Shin Hye-sun is the only actress capable of fully channeling the desperate, raw emotional arc of Hwa-young's narrative," the production team stated regarding the casting choice.

They added, "Shin’s commanding screen presence is set to deliver an intense sense of catharsis for the audience. We ask for your high expectations and interest in this project."

Dash is slated to make its broadcast debut next year.
