Stage-Worn Wardrobe Leads Global Charity Drive
Korean pop icons BTS have once again demonstrated their global philanthropic power, raising $300,300 for charity through a high-profile auction of their stage attire.
According to reports from Korean news outlets and official auction listings from Christie's, the seven individual items donated by the group generated nearly half of the entire fundraiser's total proceeds.
The online auction, titled One Goal: An Auction to Benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, was hosted jointly by non-profit organization Global Citizen and Christie's from July 23 to July 30.
Jimin’s Halftime Performance Shirt Tops Bidding War
The standout piece of the event was the custom shirt worn by BTS member Jimin during the group's historic performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show in New Jersey.
Jimin’s garment commanded a final winning bid of $110,000 (approx. 158.2 million KRW), tying for the highest-priced lot of the entire event alongside the official match ball used during the final between Spain and Argentina.
The final hammer price vastly outpaced Christie's initial pre-auction estimate of $3,000 to $5,000, underscoring the massive market demand for authentic BTS memorabilia.

Individual Contributions and Global Impact
Every member of the septet contributed a personal piece from their World Cup halftime wardrobe, with V’s scarf and Jung Kook’s jacket each securing $46,200.
Suga’s stage pants fetched $33,000, while J-Hope’s gloves brought in $28,600. RM’s footwear and Jin’s accent belt rounded out the collection at $19,800 and $16,500 respectively.
In total, the grand charity event generated $652,630 from international bidders across 24 countries, with BTS’s items accounting for 46% of that figure.
All proceeds will directly benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative designed to provide educational opportunities and sports access to underprivileged youth across 200 countries.
What’s Next for BTS
Following their landmark World Cup appearance, BTS is currently meeting fans worldwide on their ongoing ARIRANG World Tour.
The group will continue the North American leg of their tour with back-to-back stadium concerts at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on August 1 and 2.
