HYBE Labels Japan's &TEAM Previews Narrative Shift in 'Red Riding Hood' Teaser for 'Mark on Me'

Global Boy Group Reinterprets Classic Folklore in New Concept Teaser

Global boy group &TEAM has officially kicked off the promotional campaign for their upcoming second Korean mini-album Mark on Me with a narrative teaser video.

On August 2, the group's official YouTube channel unveiled a prologue video titled The Wolf Who Loved Red Riding Hood, offering a fresh artistic direction for their signature storyline.

The newly released clip reimagines the classic European fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood through the group's perspective. In this version, the traditional predatory wolf is transformed into a character who discovers love and emotional growth.

Expanding the Narrative Universe

Members Jo and Harua take center stage in the prologue, portraying the wolf and Red Riding Hood, respectively. The visual narrative captures the wolf learning to wait for someone and experiencing happiness for the first time.

The concept builds upon &TEAM’s overarching concept of "wolf DNA," a recurring thematic element integrated across their discography and visual media since their debut.

In K-pop narrative storytelling, multi-album story arcs and fictional universes are frequently utilized to connect music videos, conceptual teasers, and lyrics into a cohesive mythos for fans.

According to a statement from the group's agency, HYBE Labels Japan, the upcoming release highlights themes of emotional development and connection. The agency urged global listeners to follow the members' evolving message of love and growth in this new chapter.

Upcoming Release Schedule

Formed through the 2022 audition program &AUDITION - The Howling -, &TEAM operates as a multinational nine-member group targeting both Japanese and global music markets. The group's localized promotional campaigns in South Korea form a key part of their cross-border market strategy.

&TEAM will officially release their second Korean mini-album Mark on Me on September 8 across major music streaming platforms worldwide.
