As South Korea awaits the historic verdict in President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment case, major broadcast schedules are shifting to accommodate breaking news coverage. Here's how the entertainment world is adjusting ahead of the April 4 decision.

🗓️ D-Day: Impeachment Verdict Set for April 4 at 11AM

The Constitutional Court will deliver its ruling on President Yoon's impeachment at 11AM KST on April 4, 111 days after the motion was submitted. President Yoon is not expected to attend the verdict hearing.

📺 Special News Coverage Replaces Regular Programming

The three major broadcasters—KBS, MBC, and SBS—have cleared their morning schedules for special reports. KBS-1TV will air rolling coverage, documentaries, and political commentary starting from 9AM.

🎭 Drama & Show Premieres Postponed or Rescheduled

MBC's highly anticipated weekend drama Bunny and Oppas (바니와 오빠들), originally set to premiere on April 4, has been delayed to April 11 due to the news coverage.

KBS-2TV's new variety show Bolunteer (뽈룬티어) moved its press conference up by a day, holding it on April 3 at 10:30AM instead of the 4th.

JTBC will skip airing Divorce Camp (이혼숙려캠프) and replace it with a current affairs debate program, 논/쟁.

🎭 Press Events Canceled or Relocated

The play Pink Lipstick canceled its scheduled press call and media Q&A on April 4, citing event management difficulties.

Interviews for upcoming drama When Life Gives You Tangerines and the Netflix film The Revelation were moved away from the busy Constitutional Court area to districts like Yeongdeungpo and Jung-gu.

The cast of political thriller film Opposition Party (야당), set to premiere on April 16, will also hold interviews in Gangnam instead of the originally planned Samcheong-dong, due to anticipated traffic and crowding.

🔍 What's Next for the President?

The Constitutional Court's decision will determine whether President Yoon is permanently removed or resumes his official duties. A vote to uphold the impeachment leads to dismissal; a rejection or dismissal of the case allows immediate reinstatement.
