Six-Year Wait for a New Studio Album
BTS is reportedly not planning to return to Korea for approximately two months. They will gather in the U.S. to prepare their full-group album, personally planning the album concept, direction, and songs.
This is expected to be their first studio album in six years, following their 4th full-length album 'Map of the Soul: 7' released in 2020. RM hinted, "It's a new album after six years," adding, "We also plan to go on a world tour afterward."
The members will gather their individual ideas and collaborate with international producers. The album release is targeted for spring 2026.
RM stated, "We're going to create an incredible album. We'll gather in the U.S. and focus on music production," adding, "It feels like it will be a song camp that starts in the U.S. and moves around various locations."
Meanwhile, BTS will release their first live concert album, 'PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LIVE,' featuring a total of 22 songs, on July 18th at 1 PM KST.
