Comedian Lee Hyuk-jae is facing fresh legal troubles after being involved in a drunk driving accident in Incheon.
The Incheon Yeonsu Police Station confirmed on September 9 that Lee was booked without detention under suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Act.
According to law enforcement, Lee was driving under the influence when he rear-ended a motorcycle waiting at a traffic signal.

The motorcycle driver immediately reported the collision to authorities following the crash.
Potential charges against the entertainer could escalate depending on the extent of the motorcyclist's injuries.
"The victim left the scene without requiring hospital transport at the time," a police official stated to media outlets. "We still need to confirm whether they will undergo medical treatment later."
Pending Investigation and Previous Controversies
Police have not yet conducted a detailed interrogation regarding the exact circumstances surrounding the accident. Representatives noted that the assigned investigative team will coordinate with Lee to schedule his formal questioning in the coming days.
Lee originally stepped away from major broadcast networks following a high-profile assault incident at an entertainment venue in 2010.
While he has mostly remained out of the public eye since then, he briefly made headlines earlier this year when he served as a judge for an open youth audition organized by the ruling People Power Party ahead of local elections.
