How TWEED’s Seohee and Seoyeon Connect Hobbies to Classic Korean Poetry

TWEED members Seohee and Seoyeon are set to introduce classical literature featured in school textbooks to a wider audience.

Their agency, ABD, officially announced on October 20 that Seohee and Seoyeon are participating in "Literature in Textbooks Read by Idols," an educational audio learning content initiative jointly planned and organized by the Ministry of Education and EBS.

This educational audio content features K-pop artists reading 30 major literary works featured in high school literature textbooks across the nation. Throughout the project, the participating artists unpack the historical backgrounds and key appreciation points of the selected literary works alongside their own personal stories.

Personal Interpretations of Selected Poetry

In her designated session, member Seohee reads the poem "Spring Day" composed by poet Kim Gi-taek. Seohee normally maintains a personal hobby of recording her daily life using a vintage camera. Utilizing her delicate emotional sensibility, she talks about the quiet beauty hidden within everyday landscapes that people might otherwise pass by without noticing.

Meanwhile, member Seoyeon reads the poem "We Are to Each Other" composed by poet Moon Tae-jun. Seoyeon previously had the real-life experience of making handmade bead rings filled with affection for her fellow group members. By directly connecting this personal experience to the core message of the literary work, she reflects on the deeper meaning of human relationships.

The audio content recorded by the two idol members will be officially released on October 21 at 9:00 AM. It will be available for free listening through the official website and dedicated mobile application of "Together School," an educational platform widely utilized by students, parents, and teachers nationwide.

Debut Background and Upcoming Schedule

TWEED officially debuted in the music industry earlier this year on August 24. The group previously presented music filled with vibrant tropical colors through "Sun Kiss," the lead title track of their first mini-album titled "TUNE & PLAY." Through these promotional activities, all seven members demonstrated their diverse charms and relaxed stage performances.

Looking ahead, TWEED will perform on major music award show stages starting with the "2026 KGMA" on November 7. They are scheduled to appear at subsequent major ceremonies, including "MMA 2026" on November 14 and "AAA 2026" on December 6. Through these high-profile appearances, the group plans to solidify its growing presence as a popular breakout rookie group of the year.
