RIIZE has provided an update on the progress of their ongoing legal actions against malicious activities targeting the group.
SM Entertainment announced on July 15th, "We have filed lawsuits against individuals spreading false information related to RIIZE. For some, specific charges were identified, and their cases were referred to the prosecution last year."
According to the agency, these individuals consistently created false information while impersonating the members' acquaintances. Their illegal activities were recognized, leading to confirmed penalties, including fines.
Combating Personal Information Misuse and Schedule Interference
Recently, there have also been continuous incidents of individuals illegally acquiring and using members' personal information to change or cancel flight seats, thereby disrupting schedules. The agency is actively addressing these issues.
SM Entertainment warned, "This constitutes interference with business operations and can be subject to claims for damages. We ask for your caution to avoid involvement in such undesirable activities."
The agency is continuously monitoring various platforms, both domestically and internationally. They are pursuing both criminal complaints and civil claims against creators of malicious posts targeting the members.
Significant harm has also been caused by malicious posts and comments containing false information about management staff. Evidence for these incidents is also being collected, and legal complaint procedures are underway.
Zero Tolerance for Illegal Acts
RIIZE's agency urged, "Please refrain from revealing personal information and continuing malicious personal attacks and insults." They emphasized, "We will respond sternly to indiscriminate illegal acts without any leniency, even for a single case."
