SEVENTEEN created unforgettable memories with their Hong Kong fanbase, the Carats, as they successfully concluded their latest tour dates.

The group held their world tour, "NEW_ IN HONG KONG," at the Kai Tak Stadium on September 27th and 28th, where they performed for a total of over 72,600 spectators. This marked their first visit to the city in approximately seven years, following their 2018 solo concert, IDEAL CUT. The members opened the show by expressing their gratitude, saying, "Thank you for waiting for us for such a long time." They then launched into an electrifying performance, featuring their 5th full album title track, "Thunder," released in May, along with various solo stages.

For local fans, SEVENTEEN prepared special treats, including a passionate rendition of the Chinese song "The Meaning of Meeting." Members DK and Seungkwan also spontaneously performed the local ballad "The Last Fireworks of a Midsummer Night," leaving a lasting emotional impression on the audience.

Jackie Chan's Surprise Cameo

The concerts were highlighted by a surprise guest appearance from Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan. Chan, who had previously worked with member Jun on the film Project P, joined the group on stage to perform the song "True Heart Hero," drawing an explosive reaction from the crowd.

"I am a SEVENTEEN fan," Chan declared before sharing a warm hug with each member. The second day of the concert also saw director Larry Yang and singer-actor Lin Chu-nan among the enthusiastic audience members.

City Transformed for 'Carat Kyung' Festival

SEVENTEEN's presence in Hong Kong was felt across the entire city, thanks to a massive fan experience event dubbed "Carat Kyung" (Carat Festival). The group became the first K-pop artist to host an elaborate drone show at the Wan Chai waterfront park. Furthermore, Hong Kong's famous "Avenue of Stars" was transformed into an exhibition featuring SEVENTEEN's official character, Miniteen. The group also wrapped the city's iconic public transport, with the famous Aqua Luna cruise ship, trams, and cable cars adorned with SEVENTEEN stage themes.

SEVENTEEN will continue the NEW_ tour next month with stops across five North American cities.
