The "Festival of Stars" is set to take place as the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards will be held on the 19th at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.

This year's ceremony will see a full gathering of filmmakers who led the charge in Korean cinema over the past year. The event aims to commemorate shining achievements and thank the audience for their support.

Actors Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon will host the awards show, marking their second consecutive year as MCs. They are expected to deliver a stable and polished presentation.

Candidates combining artistic merit and mainstream appeal are set to compete fiercely. The nominees for Best Film include 'No Choice But To,' 'The Face,' 'Zombie Daughter,' 'A Distorted Mind,' and 'Harbin.'

In the Best Director category, five directors are nominated: Min Gyu-dong (A Distorted Mind), Park Chan-wook (No Choice But To), Yeon Sang-ho (The Face), Woo Min-ho (Harbin), and Pil Gam-sung (Zombie Daughter).

Nominees for Best New Director are Kim Min-ha (Amoeba Girls and School Ghost Stories: Anniversary), Kim Soo-jin (Noise), Kim Hye-young (It's Okay, It's Okay, It's Okay!), Park Joon-ho (3670), and Jang Byung-gi (When Summer Passes).

The contenders for the Lead Acting awards are equally diverse. Nominees for Best Actor include Park Jung-min (The Face), Sol Kyung-gu (A Normal Family), Lee Byung-hun (No Choice But To), Jo Jung-suk (Zombie Daughter), and Hyun Bin (Harbin).

The Best Actress category features Son Ye-jin (No Choice But To), Song Hye-kyo (The Black Nuns), Lee Jae-in (High Five), Lee Hye-young (A Distorted Mind), and Im Yoon-ah (The Devil Moved In).

The supporting categories are also expected to be highly competitive. Nominees for Best Supporting Actor are Kwon Hae-hyo (The Face), Kim Sung-cheol (A Distorted Mind), Park Jung-min (Harbin), Yoon Kyung-ho (Zombie Daughter), and Lee Sung-min (No Choice But To).

Best Supporting Actress nominees include Park Ji-hyun (Hidden Face), Shin Hyun-bin (The Face), Yum Hye-ran (No Choice But To), Lee Jung-eun (Zombie Daughter), and Jeon Yeo-been (The Black Nuns).

The awards also recognize rising talent, with Best New Actor nominees being Park Jin-young, Ahn Bo-hyun, Ahn Hyo-seop, Jung Sung-il, and Jo Yu-hyun. Best New Actress nominees are Kim Do-yeon, Kim Min-ju, Noh Yoon-seo, Lee Sun-bin, and Hong Ye-ji.

The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards will be broadcast live on KBS-2TV.
