K-pop powerhouse SEVENTEEN is locked in for the long haul. All 13 members have agreed to renew their contracts with Pledis Entertainment for a second time, proving their unbreakable bond.
Pledis Entertainment officially shared the news on July 13, confirming that the entire lineup has united to continue their journey under the label.
While most of the members have already signed the paperwork, those currently completing their mandatory military service will officially sign as their specific service conditions allow.
Defying the K-pop Odds Once Again
The group expressed their excitement directly to their global fanbase. "We are thrilled to share this great news with CARATs," SEVENTEEN shared. "Based on mutual trust and shared goals, all 13 of us have decided to stay together."
The members added, "We want to push even further as a team. We hope our fans will stand by us as part of 'TEAM SVT' as we look toward the future."
Pledis Entertainment promised to back the group with everything they have. The agency stated they will fully support group, unit, and solo endeavors while paving the way for a massive comeback once everyone completes their military duties.
A Legacy of Self-Produced Global Success
Since their 2015 debut, SEVENTEEN has written their own rules. They famously broke the industry trend by renewing their contracts early in 2021 without losing a single member—a rare feat for a large group.
Over their 11-year career, the self-producing icons have reshaped the global music landscape with an arsenal of hits and a signature artistic vision.
Even with military enlistments underway, SEVENTEEN keeps moving. Members The8 and Vernon recently teamed up as the duo 'V8,' dropping a mini-album and launching a successful solo tour.
Next up, the group's youngest member, Dino, is set to show off his versatility. He will drop a solo album under his popular alter-ego, Pi Cheolin, on August 3.
