🎬 'Girlfriend' MV Drops Ahead of New Mini Album
On May 9, Cube Entertainment uploaded the MV for Girlfriend, a track from (G)I-DLE's upcoming 8th mini album We Are, via the group's official social media channels.
Shot in Paris, the cinematic 2-minute-44-second video blends mystery and emotion. The members take on the role of quiet supporters—chasing buses, shutting car trunks, and following a mysterious man through dimly lit streets.
🎧 Electropop with a Message
Girlfriend features rhythmic electropop vibes and the group's signature vocals. The lyrics comfort a friend after heartbreak—reminding her that
"Your girlfriend's better than your boyfriend."
Written and composed by Soyeon, the track's upbeat melody and group-chant-style chorus offer both emotional release and empowering vibes.
