Celebrities have encouraged participation in the 21st Presidential Election, sharing authentication photos after casting their ballots on May 29th, the first day of early voting.
BTS's J-Hope posted a selfie on Instagram with an early polling station in the background. He wore a black hat, mask, and t-shirt, unifying his outfit in black to preemptively avoid any color-related controversies.
NMIXX's Haewon encouraged fans via the communication app 'Bubble,' saying, "I just did early voting. Let's do it together." She also uploaded a photo showing the voting stamp pressed firmly on the back of her hand.
Actors like Kim Go-eun, singer Lee Chae-yeon, and dancer Gabee also participated in polling station authentications. Among them, Lee Chae-yeon's quick wit stood out. Currently wearing a blue wrist brace due to an injury, she simultaneously held a pack of cherry tomatoes.
Lee Chae-yeon introduced, "It's early voting day. You can vote anywhere regardless of your residential address." She then humorously added, "I can't change my wrist brace, so I'm neutralizing it with cherry tomatoes," drawing laughter.
Meanwhile, early voting for the 21st Presidential Election is being held from May 29th to 30th at early polling stations nationwide. As of 5 PM on the 29th, the voter turnout was 17.51%, setting a new record high.
