Singer Lee Hyori has added another heartwarming story to her growing list of good deeds. She has maintained an ongoing connection with a YouTuber suffering from a rare disease, visiting her in the hospital and even attending a festival together.

An official from Antenna, Lee Hyori's agency, told Dispatch in a phone call on June 16th, "I understand that the artist personally reached out, separate from the company, because she wanted to."

The YouTuber, identified as A, uploaded a vlog video to her YouTube channel on June 15th. The title revealed, "Actually, Hyori unnie also came to visit me in the hospital." A suffers from epidermolysis bullosa, a genetic disorder.

Their connection began serendipitously in 2023, when Lee Hyori and A happened to sit next to each other on a flight to Jeju. A shared that Lee Hyori listened to her struggles and concerns about her illness throughout the flight.

Lee Hyori continued to stay in touch with A. A recounted, "A few months later, I received an email from her manager. They said Hyori unnie was wondering how I was doing."

At the time, A was hospitalized, and Lee Hyori reportedly came to visit her. A said, "She must have been busy, but she chatted with me for an hour, bringing light to my dull hospital life."

Lee Hyori consistently kept in contact with A. She suggested they attend the 'Seoul Jazz Festival 2025' together, and the two indeed attended the festival last month on May 30th.

Lee Hyori and A watched Lee Sang-soon's (Lee Hyori's husband) performance. According to the video, Lee Hyori embraced A and danced, clearly enjoying the festival together.

A expressed her gratitude, saying, "For me, living a quiet life, it was such an exciting and fun memory. I'm so thankful to Hyori unnie for creating an unforgettable memory for me."

Meanwhile, last month, Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon donated 200 million won to the Beautiful Foundation to support young adults preparing for independence.
