NOWADAYS is rebranding and presenting new possibilities, changing its group name just one year after its debut.
On June 2nd, the group announced its rebranding via official social media channels, simultaneously unveiling the new team name, NOWZ (나우즈), and a new logo motion.
The logo motion video showed the letters of "NOWADAYS" being erased multiple times, scattering and disappearing before finally being replaced by "NOWZ."
The name NOWZ signifies "drawing infinite possibilities in this very moment." It combines the English word "Now," representing the present, with "Z," symbolizing a new beginning.
The group's lineup remains unchanged, with members Hyunbin, Yoon, Yeonwoo, Jinhyuk, and Siyun continuing together. They are expected to unfold their unique musical world with music and concepts that break from existing conventions.
NOWADAYS debuted in April last year with their first single album, 'NOWADAYS.' They introduced light songs, categorized under their unique "Daze Pop" genre, designed to permeate listeners' daily lives.
The group's potential has been recognized at various awards ceremonies. They received the IS Rookie Award at the 2024 Korea Grand Music Awards and the Blooming Star Award at the 32nd Hanteo Music Awards 2024.
