Actor Oh Seung-yoon has successfully concluded his run in the 10th-anniversary performance of the musical Zoo Again.

On the 13th, Oh Seung-yoon took the stage at the Dongduk Women's University Performing Arts Center Cotton Hall for the final performance, wrapping up a three-month-long journey. He starred as the protagonist, "That Friend" (geu chingu), a character who represents the late, legendary singer-songwriter Kim Kwang-seok.

On September 15th, Oh Seung-yoon shared his thoughts with Dispatch. "It was moving to be part of the 10th-anniversary performance with such wonderful actors, but at the same time, it was a lot of pressure," he said.

He recalled the preparation process, saying, "I first encountered Zoo Again in May. I started practicing with a heart full of excitement to be back on stage after a long time." He put a great deal of effort into mastering the guitar, an instrument inextricably linked to Kim Kwang-seok. "I practiced at all hours—morning, evening, and late at night," he revealed.

His efforts paid off, earning him high praise from the audience. Oh Seung-yoon delivered a delicate and heartfelt performance, earning applause for his solid singing and guitar skills. His performance was widely hailed as a "re-discovery" of his talent. He captivated the audience with his renditions of classic Korean folk songs like "In the Street," "Tree," and "I Will Love You," taking them on a nostalgic journey through the history of Korean folk music.

"I approached this project with a new resolve," Oh Seung-yoon said. "I gradually felt myself becoming one with the character, and I was able to successfully finish the final performance." He added, "I sincerely thank all the audience members who came to the show, and I want to express my love and gratitude to the director, staff, and fellow actors."

The musical Zoo Again is based on the true story of the band Dongmulwon, including original members Kim Chang-gi, Yoo Jun-yeol, Park Gi-young, Park Kyung-chan, and the late Kim Kwang-seok.

With a career spanning 29 years since his debut in the 1996 drama Mackerel, Oh Seung-yoon has built a diverse filmography, including roles in Magic Kid Masuri, Immortal Admiral Yi Sun-sin, Capital Scandal, and The Legend. He recently received renewed recognition for his singing talent on MBC-TV's King of Mask Singer, where his soulful performance of "Sangsahwa" as "Mole" captivated viewers.
