Singer and actor Im Siwan is joining forces with SM Entertainment to launch his first-ever solo album project.
On the 13th, SM Entertainment confirmed to Dispatch, "We are preparing Im Siwan's solo album under one of our sub-labels. We are currently finalizing details, including the release timeline."
This will mark Im Siwan’s debut solo record. While he has previously contributed vocals to numerous Original Soundtracks (OSTs) for his projects, including the dramas Misaeng: Incomplete Life, The King in Love, and Boyhood, this is his first dedicated solo release.
Im Siwan initially debuted in 2010 as a member of the boy group ZE:A. He later cemented his reputation as a respected actor through hit works such as the drama Moon Embracing the Sun, the upcoming Squid Game Season 3, and the films The Attorney and Praying Mantis.
The collaboration signals his continued dedication to music. In a recent interview for the Netflix film Praying Mantis, Im Siwan stated, "I have never given up on being a singer."
Meanwhile, Im Siwan recently concluded his exclusive contract with his long-time agency, Plum A&C. His new management agency has not yet been finalized.
