The SEVENTEEN special unit S.Coups X Mingyu has set a new record for first-week album sales (known as Chodong in Korea) for a K-pop unit.

The duo released their first mini-album, HYPE VIBES, on the 29th. According to the Hanteo Chart, the new release sold 887,581 copies over a seven-day period. This massive figure makes it the best-selling K-pop unit album in history for initial sales, easily surpassing the previous record held by another SEVENTEEN unit, Jeonghan X Wonwoo's single album THIS MAN (780,000 copies).

Global Chart Domination

HYPE VIBES simultaneously swept album charts in South Korea, Japan, and China. In Japan, the album claimed the top spot on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking for three consecutive days.

The unit’s success was equally strong in China, where they dominated both the daily and weekly charts for the EP category of QQ Music's Digital Bestseller Album chart. The album also earned a Triple Gold Certification (750,000 Yuan).

The title track, "5, 4, 3 (Pretty woman)," peaked at No. 1 on the Bugs real-time chart, and all tracks from the mini-album successfully charted within the Melon 'Top 100,' demonstrating the duo’s comprehensive popularity.
