NMIXX is officially joining the star-studded May comeback lineup with their fifth mini-album.
The group is set to release Heavy Serenade on May 11, marking their first return in approximately seven months since the release of Blue Valentine last October.
JYP Entertainment recently unveiled the official promotion scheduler for the new album. Staying true to its title, Heavy Serenade, the teaser imagery features musical motifs such as staves, treble clefs, and various notation symbols, hinting at a deeply melodic concept.
The comeback rollout will kick off with an album trailer on April 21, followed by a series of motion posters, a dedicated website, and a highlight medley to build momentum.
In a move to heighten anticipation, NMIXX will drop a pre-release track titled "Crescendo." The music video for the song will be unveiled on April 28, two weeks ahead of the full album launch. Following this, the group will release teasers for the eponymous title track before hosting a "Countdown Live" to celebrate the release with fans on May 11.
NMIXX enjoyed a banner year in 2025, releasing two albums and reaching new career highs. Their first full-length album dominated major domestic music charts and secured 10 music show wins. International outlets, including Billboard, Teen Vogue, and NME, also lauded the group for their musical growth and high production standards.
Beyond their chart success, the group successfully navigated their first world tour, 'Episode 1: Zero Frontier', selling out their Incheon dates and completing successful legs across Europe and North America.
"NMIXX has been active on global stages, including a historic appearance at the Brazilian Carnival," stated JYP Entertainment. "With this comeback, they aim to further solidify their reputation as a leading K-pop girl group."
Prior to the official release, NMIXX will give fans a sneak peek of the new era by performing the B-side track "Superior" for the first time on April 24 at 'Eve Festa,' the pre-event for the 'LCK Team Roadshow: T1 Home Ground.'
