Singer Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon have stepped forward to support young adults preparing for independence, donating 200 million won.
According to the Beautiful Foundation, the celebrity couple delivered 200 million won to the foundation on the 19th. They requested the funds be used to support the independent journeys of these young individuals.
Their philanthropic act aims to assist those in welfare blind spots. The donation will be used for academic and living expenses, as well as career exploration activities, to help young people achieve self-reliance.
The couple stated, "We hope this can be a small contribution to their healthy independence," adding, "We wish for these young individuals to find their true selves and dream for their futures."
Lee Hyori's connection with the Beautiful Foundation dates back to 2011. She has supported vulnerable neighbors in various ways, generously donating large sums for elderly living alone and single-parent mothers.
Lee Sang-soon has also participated in charitable efforts. Recently, he sponsored two tons of feed for an animal shelter. In March, he donated 20 million won for the recovery efforts following forest fires in the Gyeongbuk region.
Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon married in 2013.
