Two highly anticipated Korean films—'Soju War' and 'Hi.5'—have moved up their release dates and are now officially set to premiere on May 30.
🎬 Earlier Than Expected
Distributors announced on May 9 that both films had completed preparations ahead of schedule and would open earlier than their original June 3 release date. The change appears to be influenced by Korea's 21st presidential election, which will create an interim public holiday around that time.

Set against the backdrop of the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis, Soju War tells the story of a showdown between a local soju company's financial director and a global investment firm representative. The film explores pride, power, and patriotism through the lens of Korea's most iconic alcoholic beverage.
