A new group from JYP Entertainment has debuted, following in the footsteps of "Boys Planet" contestant He Chenglong. JYP China has officially launched its new boy group, PUNPUNBOY CIIU.
JYP China announced on August 26th that PUNPUNBOY CIIU has officially debuted with the release of their first EP, "Our Departure" (我们的出发). The group's name, "CIIU," symbolizes their vow to "reach you no matter how far away you are."
This marks JYP's second localized Chinese boy group after BOYSTORY. PUNPUNBOY CIIU is composed of six Chinese members: Luo Yan, Li Xijie, Huang Wenjin, Bai Yuanhao, Wang Tianyi, and Liu Zheheng.
The EP "Our Departure" features a total of six tracks, including the title song "Summer of Departure" (出发的夏天). The album represents the first step in the boys' journey, capturing their youth, courage, and pure hearts as they look toward the future.
With its refreshing guitar sound and thrilling drum beat, "Summer of Departure" is a song that expresses a firm resolve to chase dreams without hesitation. The group's debut has garnered significant attention, with the title track charting at number six on China's largest music platform, QQ Music, on August 23rd.
The group's stage presence has also earned a positive response. PUNPUNBOY CIIU performed at the "2025 TIMA" on August 22nd, where they joined producer J.Y. Park to perform his hit song "Honey." They also participated in the "2025 TMEA" on August 24th, performing "Summer of Departure" and officially beginning their journey with fans in the Greater China region.
PUNPUNBOY CIIU will next appear on the variety show "Where Shall We Run Today? Season 2" and will hold a showcase in collaboration with Wanda Mall, a subsidiary of Wanda Group.
