The Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines (written by Lim Sang-choon, directed by Kim Won-seok) has added more trophies to its collection at a major awards ceremony.

On August 24th, the show won three awards at the 2025 Global OTT Awards, held at the Busan Cinema Center Outdoor Theater in Haeundae, Busan. The awards, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Busan Metropolitan City, recognize TV and OTT content from around the world.

When Life Gives You Tangerines received the awards for Best Creative, Best Writer (for Lim Sang-choon), and Best Supporting Actress (for Yum Hye-ran), earning recognition for its intricate script and the stellar performances of its cast.

This latest achievement continues the show's winning streak. It previously secured four trophies at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards (Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor & Actress, and Best Drama), four awards at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards (Popularity Award, Best Supporting Actress & Actor, and Grand Prize), and two at the 7th Hallyu Expo (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and Best Writer).

The series has also been a commercial success. After its initial release in March, it quickly rose to number one on Netflix in Korea and reached fourth place on the Global Top 10 (Non-English) list. Its popularity continued to grow with the release of the second part, climbing to second place, and finally reaching the top spot after the third part was made available. The show maintained its position in the Global Top 10 for eight consecutive weeks.

The production company, Pan Entertainment, stated, "We will accelerate our global growth by introducing more special content that follows the success of When Life Gives You Tangerines."

The series depicts the lives of Ae-soon (IU) and Gwan-sik (Park Bo-gum) through the metaphor of the four seasons.
