Singer Sung Si-kyung has opened up about the emotional toll caused by the controversy involving his former manager, identified as 'A.' The artist revealed that the betrayal has severely affected his physical and mental well-being, raising doubts about his upcoming year-end concert.

In a personal Instagram post on the 3rd, Sung Si-kyung began, "The past few months have been a continuous stream of distress and difficult times for me."

Addressing the former manager 'A,' he lamented, "Experiencing a breach of trust by someone you trusted, cared for, and thought of as family is not the first time since my debut 25 years ago. But even at this age, it is still not easy," expressing his sense of disillusionment.

He shared his struggle to maintain normalcy, stating, "I tried to keep up with my daily life, as I didn't want to worry people or appear broken. I tried hard to pretend I was okay." However, he confessed, "While going through my scheduled activities, I felt that my body, mind, and voice had been significantly damaged."

This emotional and physical impact is the reason behind the delayed announcement for his year-end concert schedule. He disclosed, "I have been constantly questioning whether I can, or should, stand on stage at all," adding that he wants to be in a state where he can confidently say, "'I am okay,' both mentally and physically."

Sung Si-kyung stated, "I plan to decide and post an announcement [regarding the year-end concert] by the end of this week, at the latest." He concluded by offering an apology: "I want to believe that this too shall pass, and that I'm fortunate to have found out before it was too late. I apologize for the concern."

Earlier that day, Sung Si-kyung's side confirmed the damage inflicted by 'A,' stating, "It was confirmed that 'A' engaged in acts that betrayed the company's trust during the course of his employment. 'A' has currently resigned."

The former manager had worked with Sung Si-kyung for nearly 20 years, handling most of the practical aspects of his career, including concerts, broadcasts, advertisements, events, and publicity. According to reports, 'A' has since disconnected his phone number and is unreachable.
