BLACKPINK's ROSÉ has achieved the longest-charting record for a K-Pop artist on the U.S. Billboard charts, remaining on the charts for an impressive 34 consecutive weeks.
Billboard unveiled its latest chart rankings on June 17th (KST). ROSÉ's pre-release single, "APT." from her first full-length album 'ROSIE,' climbed to No. 24 on the main singles chart, 'Hot 100.'
"APT." has now charted for 34 consecutive weeks, setting a new K-Pop record. Previously, the longest record was held by BTS's Jimin, whose song "Who" charted for 33 consecutive weeks.
ROSÉ has effectively rewritten K-Pop history. Despite being released in October last year, the song continues to showcase unwavering popularity. Upon its release, it achieved a "Perfect All-Kill" (PAK) on domestic music charts in Korea.
ROSÉ has claimed multiple "first" and "highest record" titles, sweeping the two major global pop charts. "APT." debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 'Hot 100' and No. 4 on the UK Official Singles Chart 'Top 100.'
At the time, she became the first K-Pop female artist to enter the Billboard 'Hot 100' Top 10. The song later surged to No. 3, setting a new peak record. This demonstrates its consistent popularity among global listeners.
Immediately after its release, "APT." topped iTunes charts in a total of 40 regions, ranked No. 1 on Spotify in the United States, and also claimed the No. 1 spot on China's largest music streaming platform, QQ Music.
Its impact extended beyond Korea, hitting Asia and the Americas. The music video also garnered a passionate response, maintaining its No. 1 position on YouTube's trending videos and trending music charts in Korea.
The album 'ROSIE' itself received an explosive reaction, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard 200, the main album chart. Here too, it set a new highest record for a K-Pop female artist.
