Dancer Vata (32) has officially addressed and denied allegations of a "rebound" or "transfer" relationship following the confirmation of his romance with entertainer Ji Ye-eun (32).

His agency, Eira, released a statement on the 15th, clarifying their stance: "There have been instances where false claims were reported without verification. We wish to clearly state that these rumors are entirely groundless."

The controversy erupted on online communities shortly after the couple went public with their relationship. Netizens began resurfacing past posts from July last year that alleged Vata had "dumped a girlfriend of six years to immediately start seeing Ji Ye-eun," accusing him of "Hwansung Yeonae" (Transfer Love)—a term used for starting a new relationship before or immediately after ending a previous one.

The agency firmly refuted the timeline presented in the rumors. "Vata has never been in a six-year relationship. His last breakup was actually three years ago," the representative stated. They further warned of "strict legal action against the spread of false information."

Vata and Ji Ye-eun confirmed they were dating on the 13th. The pair, who were previously colleagues in the industry, reportedly grew closer through their shared religious activities.

Their professional paths crossed last year when Vata participated in the choreography for "Chungju Ji-ssi," a co-ed project group formed by Ji Ye-eun and Ji Suk-jin.

Vata is the leader of the dance crew We Dem Boyz and gained widespread fame after finishing as the runner-up on Mnet’s Street Man Fighter in 2022.
